The Holidays in St. Louis

Loved seeing my parents over the New Year.  We celebrated Christmas, New Year, and my dad's birthday.  We also saw some sights in St. Louis.  The Third Degree Glass Factory and the Missouri History Museum.

This place was very cool.  Especially the bathroom sinks and faucets, which were made of glass.

Visiting Family

I am spending a wonderful weekend with my brother and his family in Indy.  :)  We have a weekend of chating, bowling, shopping, playing cards and hanging out planned.  Fun times!

Wonderful Weekend

What a great weekend we had last weekend.  Good times seeing family and friends.  John and I were both left with a feeling of appreciation for the wonderful people we have in our lives.

Joey's upcoming Confirmation

Last week, Joey took a written test for confirmation.  This week the class is being questioned by the elders.  And then Sunday is the big day.  We are looking forward to it and the celebration that will follow.

You know you live in the country when......

1.  ...the hardest part of the drive on a snowy day is your own driveway.

2. ...you have a favorite brand of mousetraps.

John and Kim

John is still principal at our church's school. He works very hard to keep things running smoothly there. It is fun to be out and about with him when, from somewhere, we hear, "There's Mr. Jacob!" We look around and we usually find a small child tugging on their parent's hand and pointing at John. It is so cute.

I am working as an assistant to Ameriprise financial advisor, Greg Nichols, CFP, CFS. (Doesn't that sound official?) I work about 20 hours a week and enjoy dealing with the clients we work with.

We have done some work on our house this year, adding a sunroom and a patio on the back. I think we will enjoy both additions this coming summer when we are celebrating confirmation and graduations.

The kids are doing great. It is amazing how time marches on. Andy is deciding on colleges and Joey will be starting high school next Fall. All this makes my head spin sometimes so I am just hanging on and enjoying the ride!
